越前漆器の制作、販売を行う会社の直営店として、元々倉庫として使われていた建物の改装工事を行った。1階はショップ、2階はワークショップのスペースとして使用する。
漆器の赤や黒が映えるようできるだけ無駄をそぎ落としたシンプルな空間にするため、白や木の素地の色を基調とした。
A warehouse has been renovated into a directly managed store of a company that produces and sells Echizen lacquerware. The interior seeks a balance between tradition and modernity, in a minimal interpretation. The architects choose the wood as main material to convey a warm spatial experience of the Japanese craft sensibility. The lacquerware shop includes two storey connected by a steal staircase. The second level is dedicated to workshop.
