福井市中心部の準防火地域での新築住宅。
密集した住宅街の中で、プライバシーを確保しながらも開放的に光を取り入れられるよう考慮した。吹抜けまで続く壁面の連続した棚板はTVボード、本棚、など多機能な収納として使用できる。棚板の間に配置されたブラケットはブックエンドとしても利用できるよう形状と位置を何度も検討した。
BAUM has completed a silver galvalium steel plated house in Fukui city. The dwelling slots into a residential densed-packed area and it runs almost the full length of the plot. The volume includes two storey connected by a steel-wooden staircase. All along the stairs BAUM design a wall library, with a maximum width of 10 meter, conceived as a nucleus of the residence. The continuous shelf board on the wall can be used as a multifunctional storage for TV boards, bookshelves, etc.
